I guess this is the part where I need to explain what it is I do and how long I’ve been doing it. So, if you care to stay on this page long enough to hear about how I started in web design, then please keep on reading!
I graduated from Messiah College with a degree in Business Information Systems. This is what started the passion for web development and, from my time at Messiah, I gained experience with databases as well as how to code a web page. The job that I got right out of college in a company that sells its own employee management software has given me a great background in how to successfully create a web environment that draws individuals to its address.
I just want to take a minute to say that I have a passion for web design, but my first passion is Jesus Christ. He is the reason I live and am able to face each day. I truly hope that my work reflects His glory as well as the gifts and abilities that He has given to me. I thank Him for all the blessings I have received here on earth!
“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.”
- Galatians 6:9-10
I never had a degree in web design, however from viewing many, many, many articles on the best practices of design and the user experience, I have been able to feel confident providing clients a great web site to be on the front lines for their company.
However, formal education doesn’t mean everything. I’ve worked nights and weekends to get my knowledge and skills to a place where I feel confident presenting anyone with the design and user experience that I have put together. The business background also helps me to know how to work with companies to supply a website that truly suits anyone’s needs!
Please feel free to continue to look at the sites that I’ve created as well as any new blog posts that are of interest to you. A lot of the design links on the right side of my site are where I’ve found my inspiration and some valuable experience.
